From a prayer fellowship in a home and a thatched shed to about 5,000 believers by 2008 — this is the story of a pastor's prayers over empty seats, a people's sacrificial giving, and a God who keeps every promise He makes.

The Founder
Sent to His
Own Region.
In keeping with a prophecy that he would begin the Lord's ministry in his home region, Rev. N. Peter met Brother Daniel in Cheruvarakonam and shared his vision. Together they visited homes, fasting and praying for people's needs. The first prayer fellowship met in the home of Mrs. Mercy Bai, a teacher, then moved to Brother Daniel's house because of local opposition. His father-in-law Rev. I. Moses, Mrs. Selvarathinam, and his mother Mrs. Sundari stood with him in prayer and visitation.
In 1986 a thatched shed, 40 feet by 22, was built on land Brother Daniel made available, with a door taken from his wife's family temple. The area, known as Kanjiravila, had no transport, electricity or drinking water. Only Brother Daniel's family and a few sisters came, yet the pastor wrote on a board that his church would become a congregation of one thousand, and knelt at each empty seat praying with tears for the believers who would fill it.
The shed collapsed in the monsoon winds again and again, and was rebuilt eight times in five years. Moved by Haggai 1:4, the pastor told God, “I have nothing except the motorcycle I use for Your work. I will give it towards building the church.” The believers gave materials and Rs. 8,200, often beyond their means. The foundation stone was laid in 1990, and the church was dedicated on 16 February 1992.

Milestones of Faith.
The Ministry Begins
Rev. N. Peter begins visiting homes in Cheruvarakonam with Brother Daniel. A prayer fellowship starts, and a thatched worship shed is built on land Brother Daniel makes available.
Foundation Stone Laid
After years of worship in a shed that had to be rebuilt eight times, Rev. David Stewart lays the foundation stone in the presence of Rev. J. Devadas.
Church Building Dedicated
Rev. T. C. George and Rev. P. S. Rajamani dedicate the church building, completed with the help of believers of limited means.
Three Sunday Services
As the congregation grows, Sunday worship expands to two services and then to three in the same year.
Jehovah Nissi Messenger
The first issue of the church's free monthly magazine appears, published in Malayalam and Tamil.
Recognition in Kerala
The church's original history reports that a survey by the publishers of Hallelujah magazine selected JNAG as Kerala's largest Pentecostal church, followed by an award.
About 5,000 Believers
The original account records approximately 5,000 believers. The hall is enlarged by removing a wall to make room for everyone.
Church Emblem Unveiled
Brother Suresh Babu unveils the JNAG church emblem. Four services are held each Sunday, and 1 acre 61 cents of land near Parassala railway station has been purchased for a future church building.

By about 2011, four services were held every Sunday: two in Malayalam, one in Tamil and one in English.
North India Mission
Taking the Gospel further
Missionaries supported with encouragement and monthly help, and church buildings provided in Bihar, Orissa, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Punjab.
JN TV & Livestream
The ministry without walls
Church programmes broadcast on JN TV across the Kerala and Tamil Nadu border regions, with worship streamed live on the church website.

From Parassala to the unreached corners of North India — the Great Commission is not optional. We go, we give, we send, and we pray without ceasing.

Sunday worship in Malayalam, Tamil and English. We pursue the living presence of God through music, prayer, fasting, and the faithful preaching of the Word.

Senior Pastor & Founder
Rev. N. Peter
Began the JNAG ministry in 1986 and led it through opposition, financial difficulty and physical weakness. Champion of missionary work in North India, and trainer of many pastors, missionaries and evangelists sent out from the church.

Our Team
Associate ministers have served alongside Rev. N. Peter since the church's early years.
The women's meeting has been led by the pastor's wife, Mrs. M. S. Mary Sulochana, and full-time sisters have carried the gospel through home visitation, alongside prayer cells, youth outreach and a seven-member advisory committee.
